Beginners Stained Glass |

In our beginner class, you will learn the basics of working with stained glass. While learning the copper foil method of construction, you will create a stained glass panel that is about 1 1/2-2 sq. ft. in size to hang in your window. 4 sessions, 2 1/2 hours each tools and materials approx. $140, class fee $75 |

Fused Glass |

The hottest thing in glass. You'll have plenty of fun and learn while you play in this basic fusing class. Make several pieces while using different fusing techniques & materials in this class. Beginners Mosaic Stepping Stone |

Make a beautiful 16" hexagon or 14" round stepping stone for your garden. We will show you step by step from cutting and layout of your glass to pouring the concrete. The concrete method of pouring stones will be demonstrated. Students will pour their stone with fast setting concrete. Make a lamp or box of your choice. You will learn how to achieve a successful fit while assembling a 3-dimensional object. Come in ahead of time to choose the design and glass for your project. Learn to design and construct a contemporary piece using Kokomo or Yougiogheny head glass, roundels, and found items put together in a nontraditional stained glass method. The design will be your own one of a kind piece. In addition to your glass you will need a strip of 1/2" metal edging and a sheet of adhesive back copper foil. Bring your own cutting, foiling and soldering tools. Materials will cost about $40-120 depending upon your selections. Please make your glass selections and form your design ideas ahead of time, since all of this instruction is packed into one session. Everyone registered for this class will receive 30% off roundels and 10% off all other needed supplies.

Intermediate Glass Cutting & Soldering Techniques |

Improve your glass cutting & soldering skills in this class. First we'll show you how to cut various types of glass and you can try out different cutters, strip cutters and the band saw. Then we will share soldering tips to help you achieve a good bead of solder. You will also learn a few decorative soldering techniques and proper care of your iron and tip.

Painted Fused Glass Pendant |

Join us and make a painted fused glass pendant. Bring your friends or just yourself and have fun making a beautiful painted necklace. We supply all the materials you need and show you simple painting techniques for great results. Then we fire them in our kiln overnight and your finished necklace including a bail and chain will be ready to pick up a few days later. 1 session, 1 1/2 hours class fee $40 materials included |

Two Fused Pendants using Decals & Dichroic |

Have fun learning the basics of fusing glass in a kiln while making 2 glass pendants. One pendant will be fused with a decal of your choice applied to the glass. The second one you will decorate with dichroic slide paper or dichroic glass to create your own sparkly necklace. In this class, we supply all the tools, glass and decorative elements you will need to make 2 fused glass cabochons. The glass will be fired in our kiln overnight and ready for you to pick up a day or two later. To finish your piece we will also supply the bail to glue on the back and chain of your choice for your own unique pendants. 1 session, 1 1/2 hours class fee $40 materials included |

Crash Glass Mosaic |

Learn this popular new mosaic technique using tempered glass. In this fun and easy class you will make a mosaic in either a 5" x 7" frame or on a simple wood base. During the first 1 1/2 hour session you'll make a collage base using your favorite pictures and various papers. Then during the second 2 1/2 hour session you top it with plate glass, broken tempered glass and grout. We'll show you how to add bling to your project too.
Bring your own 5" x 7" frame with glass or use our wood base to assemble your mosaic on. You will also need to bring craft knife, small scissors and your favorite pictures or papers. Papers suggestions include scrap book paper, wrapping paper, tissue paper, stickers and text papers including rub on scrap book letters. All other materials will be provided.

Renaissance Mosaic |

This grout less mosaic incorporates millefiori, glitter glass, jewelry pieces and glass to create a wonderful mirror frame with lots of pattern and bling that creates a visual feast of color and design. We will provide a mirror with a wooden frame to build upon, adhesive grout and colorant. You will need to bring treasures to apply to your mosaic such as jewelry pieces from broken jewelry or ones you can take apart, coins, bottle caps, beads, rocks, metal trinkets, etc., anything that inspires you. We will have glitter glass, Van Gogh glass and other special glass pieces available for purchase. 2 sessions bring your own tools, class fee $55 |

Class Information |

While enrolled in your class, you will receive a 20% discount on all items listed on the beginner tool list and 10% off on any other tools, saws, grinders and supplies. The class fee is due at the time of registration to hold your place in the class. If you find you cannot attend your class, you must let us know at least one week before your session begins, in order to receive a refund of your registration or switch to another class. We require a minimum of four students in each class, with a maximum of ten in the beginner class and no more than seven in all other classes. A class will be canceled if we do not have at least four people registered. Your class fee will be refunded or you may transfer it to another course. Please register by phone with a credit card or send us a check by mail. |
